A three-day workshop on the revision of Essential Veterinary Drug Lists (EVDL), Clinical Instruments, and equipment is underway at the National Centre for Animal Health (NCAH), Serbithang. As per the Essential Veterinary Drug Program (EVDP), it is imperative that the EVDL is reviewed every two years based on the need and the scientific developments. However, due to the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the revision could not be carried out as scheduled. The last review of the EVDL took place in 2020.
Hence, the workshop is being conducted with the objectives of reviewing and updating the EVDL, equipment & instruments, developing/updating terms of reference (ToR) for various functional units of the EVDP and also developing/updating the critical standard operating practices (SOPs) for the smooth functioning of the EVDP.
