Bhutan becomes the first country in the world to sterilize 100% free-roaming dogs within a span of two years (2021-2023). Born from the auspicious initiative of His Majesty The King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck to create a healthier and safer Bhutan, the Department of Livestock, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in partnership with the De-suung undertook a unique and successful journey and achieved this feat through a whole-of-nation approach.
