The National Centre for Animal Health (NCAH) under the Department of Livestock is organizing a five-day bacteriology training workshop for laboratory technicians from 3rd – 7th February 2025. This training aims to strengthen participants’ skills in bacterial culture, identification, and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST), with a primary focus on mastitis diagnosis and AMR surveillance in Bhutan.
The workshop is being attended by laboratory technicians from national, regional, and satellite laboratories. Through hands-on practical sessions, the training will enhance their capacity to perform essential laboratory procedures, ensuring they are well-equipped to support Bhutan’s AMR surveillance efforts.
This workshop is made possible through financial support from the Fleming Fund Country Grant Phase II Project, with Dr. Lynn Rogers from Massey University serving as the resource person, facilitated through the AMROH-SA Regional Grant.
