A Japanese tick research team led by Dr. Masakatsu Taira from the National Institute of Infectious Diseases (NIID) and the Japan Institute for Health Security (JIHS), Tokyo, along with Dr. Takeo Yamauchi and Dr. Natsuhiko Yoshikawa, visited NCAH. The team conducted tick collection activities, demonstrated various collection methods, and later delivered both theoretical and practical sessions on tick collection, preservation, and morphological identification. This initiative is part of the joint Bhutan–NIID program on infectious disease collaboration.
