The National Center for Animal Health is honored to welcome two esteemed scientists from Chulalongkorn University, Professor Rungtip Chuanchuen and Associate Professor Pattrarat Chanchaithong, as part of the EQASIA program for EQAsia EQA8 for Bhutan on the 14th and 15th of November 2024. Their visit marks a significant step in our laboratoryโs ongoing journey to enhance the quality of pathogen identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST).
The primary focus of the EQASIA scientistsโ visit is to help us address and improve areas identified during our recent external quality assessment (EQA 8). Their guidance is instrumental in diagnosing the root causes behind observed gaps in our laboratory processes, providing us with insights to fine-tune our diagnostic approach for improved accuracy and reliability.
Through their expertise, the EQASIA scientists are laying out specific corrective and preventive actions tailored to our needs, enabling us to strengthen our pathogen identification and AST protocols. This enhancement is critical to our laboratoryโs mission of delivering accurate, reliable, and timely results, which play a crucial role in combating antimicrobial resistance in Bhutan.
We are grateful for this collaborative opportunity and look forward to continuing our work with EQASIA and Chulalongkorn University as we strive to achieve the highest standards in diagnostic excellence.
