FMD: Saephu, Wangdue Phodrang

An outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) was reported from Gangchu, Dorona and Longtey villages of Saephu gewog, Wangdue Phodrang dzongkhag on 1 April 2021. As per the flash report shared, the outbreak has started on 4th March 2021, and till 1 April, a total of 21 cattle and 3 yaks were affected by the disease, however, no mortality was reported. All the necessary prevention and control measures have been implemented by the Dzongkhag Livestock Sector, Wangdue Phodrangas guided by the National FMD Prevention and Control Plan 2020
