Black Quarter: Gangzur, Lhuentse
An outbreak of Black quarter, a bacterial disease caused by Clostridium chauvoei, in cattle was reported from Thamba village of Gangzur Gewog, Lhuentse Dzongkhag on 25th September 2020. During the outbreak, a total of 7 cattle were affected, of which 5 died. There are around 500 susceptible animals in the village. All control measures have been implemented by the Dzongkhag livestock sector, Lhuentse.
