Rabies outbreak in Rangjung town, Trashigang


On 4th October 2016, a stray dog had bitten two people within Rangjung Central School compound. On subsequent days (6 and 7 Oct 2016) another two dogs have bitten two people. Two of the suspected rabid dogs were killed by the people and the brain tissue tested positive to rabies virus. The four people who were bitten by dogs (category III bite) were immediately given Human Rabies Immunoglobulin (HRIGs) and are undergoing PEP at Rangjung BHU... Read More
